We woke up to a notice from Air Canada that our flight was delayed one hour so Lisa picked us up at 0800 instead of 0700.
Security went Ok although no matter when we go through an airport security one of us gets picked to have bags checked over.
While Caro was at Tim Horton’s getting some breakfast we got a text saying our flight was cancelled. Merde!!!
Thirty minutes later an air Canada rep got hold of me and after going over various options we decided to fly that evening to Vancouver and not risk having an issue the next day.
After reserving a room near YVR we spent all day at the airport including three hours in the Priority Lounge (courtesy of our ATB M/C which gives us each 2 lounge passes a year).
We saw Pat and her family as they returned from their hellish trip back from their New Orleans cruise.Our flight left 30 minutes late which means we spent 12 hours at YEG airport.
