Tonight was one of those “must do’s” in Bangkok.
We booked a two hour dinner cruise leaving at 1930 hours in an area relatively close by (a top end shopping Center near the Sheraton Hotel)
We got there by cab for 50 baht ( $2 ). We enjoyed our view of the river while waiting. It is extremely busy and frankly the buildings along the river banks are gorgeous.
Soon enough it was dark and many of the dinner cruise boats sailed by. Below are examples of these beautifully lit up boats.
Our boat was nice too but not as colourful.
Once on board the buffet table opened and we were eating right away. An excellent singer was the entertainment and she really had a great voice.
We passed by many beautiful buildings and a couple of neat bridges. As soon as we were done eating we headed outside to get better views than our lower level dining room had due to window reflections
We passed by the Grand Palace, Stunning
We also passed Wat Arun. I am hoping we can see it tomorrow
After the cruise we went to get a cab. It’s Saturday night in a rich area. No cabs were using their meters. We got back here at a rate four times more expensive than getting there (still only $8 but certainly have a feeling of being ripped off LOL)
