Sunday Feb 9/2020

Finally catching up on blog posts since our Colima trip when I didn't post anything.

Today we had a quiet day with most of the day spent relaxing.

Caro went to a church service (and I did not).

There were quite a few ships that entered and left port today.

This ship doesn't look that special until you realize that the center "crane" is actually the cargo! The ship is the Jumbo shipping line ship "Fairmaster". There are only two ships like this in the world (according to Google). They are designed to haul and unload super heavy items ( up to 3,000 tons) and the company headquarters is in the Netherlands. We assume the cargo is actually one of the future container load/unload cranes for the port expansion.

We were planning to go food shopping today but changed our minds late in the day. Instead we walked down the street to a small outdoor restaurant that cooked chicken on the Bar-b-q  (in the traditional Mexican fashion). For 65 pesos ($4.60) we got a 1/2 smallish cooked chicken, some rice and salsa. While waiting for our chicken to be prepared we sat down and noticed through the chain link fence a hen, rooster and a dozen tiny chicks running around. We then noticed one of the cook's boys climb through a hole in the chain link from that yard........gee, wait a minute there......ya don't think?......will we be eating a (very) recently deceased member of the chicken clan? Yup probably!!!

Tasted good too  LOL!

Tonight was another spectacular sunset.

Michelle face timed us tonight so we got to see everybody there (including a very camera shy Hannah LOL). Thanks for contacting us !

Caro is watching the Oscars right now.
