Customs and immigration was smooth sailing and our luggage arrived so all was well in the world.
We picked up a couple of Opal cards (metro passes) at the airport, and were soon on the metro to the closest station to our hotel (called Museum station).
We checked into the hotel which is ideally located in the central business district (CBD)
After bathroom breaks and getting settled into our room we headed out; back to the metro again and getting off at Circular Quay station which is at the waterfront
Once leaving the station we were soon gawking at the Harbour Bridge and the Opera house. Also for our viewing pleasure, the Cunard Queen Elizabeth 2 was at dock.
We wandered around the area before sitting down at a quay side restaurant where I enjoyed a burger and Caro, fish and chips. A nice cold beer for me and a glass of wine for Caro certainly helped digestion!

By about six PM we were petering out so we caught the metro back to our area and were soon back in the room.
