Kotor second night

What a magnificent day in a stunning setting.

After breakfast we all headed out the city walls and about 10 minutes later we were at the location for our kayaking adventure. For three hours (which included a nice break in the middle) we kayaked along the shoreline of the bay. Blue skies, wonderful mountain scenery, some beautiful yachts and sailboats at anchor; WOW!

Upon return at noon Caro and I headed out of the old city and soon found a restaurant that was much more reasonably priced than the places within the city walls. We had a pizza and it was very good.

Our afternoon was spent riding in a speed boat for a three hour tour of the Bay with stops at an island with a church, and an old abandoned submarine pen in the side of a mountain. Finally we got to the best part of the trip, the Blue Caves. Pretty cool blue colour inside the cave (which we motored into). There were lots of people inside swimming(with boats being very careful not to run over them).

We left the cave and went a short way to a location where we could go swimming if we wanted ( which Caro did). The ride back took close to an hour ( this bay is HUGE )

Upon return the two of us went to a recommended restaurant and had a wonderful supper of soup followed by a seafood pasta. Yummy.

Later on we walked all over the old city getting lost numerous times and always seeming to find another restaurant or two in a small plaza we hadn’t seen before. We ended up outside the city walls at a series of street food snack stands. Caro picked up a Nutella crepe (yummy) and I got another triple chocolate ice cream.

While we were FaceTiming Lisa (in San Diego) some fire works were lit off. One of our group took the following photo and sent it to everyone
