We started off this morning by wandering the streets just looking around. We came across the Machu Picchu museum. That was super interesting as it showed artifacts found on the site and a history of the scientific work done by Hiram Bingham. All in all a cool place.
Because I am on unwell we went back to the hotel at noon; I went to sleep and Caro went on a 90 minute city tour.
Upon her return we decided to go for a lunch so I had my first Peruvian pizza and Caro had an Alpaca based plate of vegetables.I couldn't risk being far from a bathroom so I went back to the room and Caro had all afternoon to shop and people watch. As it turned out I slept all afternoon and as I write this we are contemplating going out for a bowl of chicken soup or something very light .
It has been one week since I hurt myself in the jungle.Checkout the bruising on the left arm. Today is the first day it doesn't hurt when I put pressure on it
Yikes the two of you are having quite the challenges on this trip. That is one serious bruise. Hopefully this finds you both feeling improved.
