Thank goodness for jet lag because we were able to sleep pretty good until 5 AM. Even with the boiling hot room
We started walking around the streets at 0730 and after a typical Copenhagen breakfast ( I lied; because we did a heretical thing by eating at McDonalds ) we gathered at Mikes Bike Tours at 1000 and for the next 3.5 hours we biked around the city and were told all the history of the city. Mike was highly ranked by Trip Advisor and he really was a character.Well worth the $140 cost (we spent over $100 last night just for 2 plates of weiner snitzel and beer so when in Copenhagen be prepared to spend!)
Next was a hour long canal ride which was OK but nothing special.
Somewhere along the way we ate some typical Danish lunches (yes, really we did).
Later in the afternoon we walked back over to Nyhaven canal which is lined with many, many outdoor restaurants .One small glass of wine (for Caro) and my normal Coke Zero fix cost over $23 but we were paying for the atmosphere which was totally awesome.
Have I mentioned we have been walking? We did another couple of kilometers to get back to our hotel and as of now we are rehydrating with gallons of water before we go out again .
Our request for a fan has been granted. I hope we sleep good tonight because we plan on doing more stuff in the morning before getting to the harbour for our cruise (incidently 6 of the 12 people on the bike tour including us of course are on the same cruise including one other couple, from Acme Alberta).
