Cam Ranh

It was a beautiful morning today as we came into port about 8:30 AM

We sailed by hundreds of, what to assume to be, artificial oyster beds. It was really was amazing  to see.

Our cell signal strength was intermittent so we had trouble checking in with Lisa and Fernando initially but later on we connected and got caught up with what appears to be a much better health  prognosis for Hector.

We first stopped at a nice beautiful viewpoint first

We then had a stop in a pagoda built over a thousand years ago and is still in use.

Our main stop was a cultural village where we saw all different sorts of handicrafts being made by the local artisans. Caro bought a nice bracelet there.

What followed in this village was a fantastic buffet meal. It was all traditional Vietnamese food and was excellent.

We went back into Nha Trang central district to a huge market. Insane traffic there and crazy trying to find bus parking. Caro had been looking for a tiny Philip’s screwdriver to open a battery compartment. We found a guy selling a beat up old screwdriver that hopefully will work. He wanted $10 originally but we got it for $4 ( and it is probably worth 50 cents LOL)

Our last stop was White Mountain pagoda ( in English).

We had another hot tub just after arriving home, followed by another yummy burger meal

Caro watched Downton  Abbey movie “under the stars” and I read a book in our room.

Together we went to watch a wonderful , very talented lady singing songs by Dolly Parton, Carole King and Edith Piaf and others in the main theatre.
