In the morning we went back to K and L’s for breakfast which was followed by a 27 kilometre e-bike ride all around the town (including some scary, for us anyway, crossing of very high bridges). The weather was perfect for this wonderful ride with overcast skies and temperatures in the mid 20’s.
I took the following photos on one of the bridges
As a “thank you” for their awesome hospitality we took K and L out for a lunch at one of their recommended eateries. We had a wonderful lunch at a pub.
At about 1 PM we said our “good byes” and we started our drive homeward.
The first stop was near Creston at a fruit stand where Caro bought a couple bags of fresh cherries. Yummy!
The drive up to our eventual overnight stop at Radium was beautiful. We did note one spot where we could see five forest fires burning on the side of a couple nearby mountains.
We checked into our Radium hotel some where around 6 PM. We went to a popular pub we have visited before but the lineup to get in was too long so we went across the street to a small hamburger joint (that was a mistake as the food was only so-so).
A quiet evening followed and at 10 PM it was lights out.
