We had a nice quiet day as we are at sea.
Today was very special (at least on this cruise) being that it is has been sunny for most of the day. People are out on deck 5 enjoying the lounge chairs and basking in the sunlight. It is only about 12 degrees but it feels marvelous! I imagine there will be quite a few people waiting up until midnight and going upstairs at 11:45 PM for professional "midnight sun" photos. Not me! Sleep means more than waiting up for that! I want to be up early as we come into port, as I usually am.
Today I watched a seminars on ancient world cartography and on modern ship navigation. Both very interesting.
Dad spotted a whale earlier in the day but I haven't been so lucky. Every sea day we spend time in the Pacific Lounge during "happy hour" scanning the horizon for wild life while enjoying an "adult" beverage or two.
